Dear Dorchester Families

It has been another productive and fun-filled week at school.  The children have been working on their projects for Around the World Day and there has been some amazingly creative learning going on.  Each class has picked a country to study in more detail – from Iceland to New Zealand and lots in between!  The purpose of the event is to raise the profile of geography, in particular, boosting children's map skills, and making sure our children are excited about finding out more about the world around them.

Please do support this learning by coming along to our 'Around the World' event on Monday from 3:20pm.  Parents and carers are warmly invited to come and share the children's learning as they travel around the school and see the amazing work the children have done - and you can view the work all the way from Nursery to Year 6.  Remember to complete the Google Form you have received via the School Gateway app as you move round the school - if you identify all the countries each class has focused on correctly, your child/ren is/are in with a chance of winning a great prize.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible all over the world on Monday afternoon.  In the meantime, have a great weekend.

Cathy Bell
Headteacher
