Dear Dorchester Families,

Last weekend was quite a weekend!  Our children represented their school brilliantly at the Mini Marathon on Saturday; just getting there was quite a challenge given the scale of the event - but all 25 of our representatives ran brilliantly and were awarded their medals as they crossed the famous finish line on The Mall.  The Mini Marathon has been a springboard for a number of famous athletes, including Sir Mo Farah, who won the event three times as a junior!  Well done to you all; thanks to all the parents who came along to support, and to Carol and Riad for running with the children.

I also wanted to extend my thanks for all the encouragement I have received on my own marathon journey, and for your very generous sponsorship.  It was a hot day to be running for almost 5 hours, but I kept myself hydrated and finished feeling well and elated at the achievement.  It was wonderful to have support from children and parents along the route too - it really kept me going.

We have raised £1305 which will go towards equipment to enable our children at Dorchester to enjoy active playtimes for many years to come.  It's not too late if you would like to make a donation  - you can do so using the QR code or link below.

Enjoy the long weekend.

Kind regards
