Dear Dorchester Families,

Goodness - it's been a week and a half at school this week.  As well as indoor athletics, an amazing football victory in the Cup Quarter Final, a visit from Fulham Premier League players, a World War II 'Wow Day', and a visit to the synagogue for some of our Year 6 children, it was a big week for our Junior Choir, who headed to the O2 Arena on Tuesday to sing as part of the amazing Young Voices choir of 2025.  Young Voices is an incredible event which gives children the opportunity to sing as one of a choir of around 8,000, truly impressing the audience of parents and family members.

We couldn't have been more proud of the way our children represented our school - their conduct was so impressive in comparison to all the other schools we saw, and everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable (if slightly late!) evening.

I need to extend huge thanks to Mrs Cucharo and Mrs Wyman for leading our Junior Choir with such skill and enthusiasm.  They are already planning our next big choir event, the Sutton Music Trust Big Sing, which takes place during the summer term.

I wish you all a happy and restful weekend.

Cathy Bell

Headteacher
