Dear Parents and Carers

It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school this week and to hear all about their half-term adventures.  It was lovely to see several children heading up to the National Gallery during the break to have a look at the original of our Take One Picture focus painting, with some even searching out pictures from previous years.

It has been a busy week for sport - with everything from Archery to Squash - do make sure you read the sports news below to see how brilliantly our children have represented us out in the community this week.

Huge thanks to Joshua and Jack for being excellent Headteachers for a Day today.  The children thoroughly enjoyed their 'no pens' morning and it was lovely to see the boys leading assembly, hosting chocolate milk tea and carrying out their learning walk so responsibly.  Well done Joshua and Jack.

On Sunday, some of our children will be taking part in the Remembrance Sunday service at the War Memorial in Worcester Park.  They will be laying a wreath on behalf of our school community and Valerie in Year 6 will read the Remembrance Poem she wrote as part of the service.  It would be lovely to see lots of people from our school community there so please come along if you can.

And some lovely news from Mr Dennis and his family, who welcomed little Jesse into the world at the end of last term.  Baby, mum and family are all doing well.  Many congratulations!

Remember that we have our Around the World event at the end of the day on Monday.  We received such positive feedback about it last year, with parents and children telling us that they really enjoyed the opportunity to 'travel' round the school and see all the work going on in different year groups.

Have a lovely weekend.

Headteacher for a Day

Dear Parents and Carers

In school today we have been looking at what people have been learning about in the school years. Each Year has been doing different subjects including, Maths in Year 2, Art in Nursery 4,3,6 and Computing in Year 5. Each Student has had really good behaviour in their learning and more. The 2 new Headteachers for the day have run the Assembly and done a learning walk looking around the classes checking to make sure everyone's well behaved.
