Dear Dorchester Families

It has been a busy week in school with sports events beginning to ramp up, trips beginning and lots of learning still to do.  It's a long half term but it means we can fit a lot of learning in.

Next week is Take One Picture Week.  Take One Picture is a national programme run by the National Gallery, which aims to inspire a lifelong love of art and learning.  The National Gallery selects one picture from their collection and schools are invited to use that picture to inspire learning across the curriculum. This year's painting is Pieter de Hooch's, 'The Courtyard of a House in Delft', shown below.  I know the children will love finding out all about the painting and will have lots of learning to share with you next week.

A reminder taht we will be celebrating Harvest Festival as a school community on Wednesday, October 23rd.  We will be collecting donations for the foodbank, who have requested the following items:

Thank you in advance for your support.

Have a great weekend.
