Dear Dorchester Families,

This morning we had our first Class Assembly of the academic year, when Amethyst Class ably shared the impressive amount of learning they have already completed after only 13 days in school!  If you want to know anything about Brazil, they are certainly the class to ask!  It was lovely to have parents and carers in to share the assembly too - thank you for coming.

Thank you for your generous donations to Jeans for Genes today.  The children looked brilliant in their denim/uniform combos, and I'm sure we have raised a good amount for charity.  We will, of course, let you know how much once we have counted it up.

There are still tickets available for Happy's Circus at Foresters Primary School (on of the schools in our Trust) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week.  We are running the circus at cost price to provide a more affordable way for familes in our Trust to experience the magic of the circus.  You can buy tickets by visiting the Sutton Education Trust Eventbrite Page at

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/sutton-education-trust-84881740893

The show will be action packed, with plenty to keep both children and adults entertained, and an opportunity for photographs to be taken with the circus performers after the show.

Another upcoming date for your diary is the Friends of Dorchester School AGM which is taking place on the evening of Tuesday 8th October - everyone is welcome, and it is always fantastic to see some new faces, particularly at the beginning of a new school year.

Enjoy the weekend.
