This Week in Year 5

This week, Year 5 have been working hard in Maths on their multiplication. We have been revising the grid method and various types of short methods – some children found this a little frustrating as they already had confidence with the short method! However, what we learned was that in practising a variety of different methods, we were able to use lots of different mental strategies for multiplying. In English, we have written letters to the Test and Trace Team persuading them to take Santa Claus out of quarantine! In PSHE, we had some revealing discussions about e-safety, and the importance of how we conduct ourselves online, when using devices. We are looking forward to our Christmassy week next week!
