Uniform

We see every child as an ambassador for our school and expect them to take a real pride in their appearance.

Jewellery and Nail Varnish

No jewellery (including earrings) should be worn to school. If you choose to have your child's ears pierced while they are in primary school it should be done at the beginning of the summer holiday to allow time for the piercings to heal before the new school year begins. Children who come to school wearing earrings need to have them covered with micropore tape or plasters. Where children have pierced ears that are still healing and so they are unable to remove earrings, flat, clear ear piercing retainers may be worn until the piercings have healed.

Nail varnish is not permitted in school.

Our uniform consists of:

• Grey shorts/trousers, skirt, pinafore dress or culottes in a smart, school style only

• White or purple polo shirt with or without school logo or for years 3-6 white collared shirt with school tie

• Purple school sweatshirt (available in round neck to wear with polo shirt or v-neck to wear with shirt and tie for juniors) or cardigan with school logo

• Plain grey or white socks (not trainer socks) or black or grey tights

• Plain hair elastics (grey, black, white or purple) or purple and white gingham hair elastics for all children with long hair. Very large bows and hair accessories are not appropriate for school and should be kept for wear outside of school.

• Black school shoes (not trainer, ballet pump or boot style, flat heeled only)

• Purple fleece jacket with school logo (optional)

• Purple and white checked school dress or purple and white checked school playsuit may be worn in warm weather from after the Easter holidays until October half term

• Outdoor coat/jacket (either DPS reversible jacket with logo available from the uniform shop or plain coloured)

• Knitted hat (optional) for colder weather

• Baseball hat (optional) for sunny weather

• DPS book bag in infants (Years N-2) /DPS back pack or plain coloured suitable back pack in juniors (years 3-6)

Sports Kit

• PE Bag

• School PE T-shirt with school logo

• Plain black shorts/skort

• Plain black jogging bottoms or sports leggings

• Plimsolls – black or white - for indoor games

• Trainers for outdoor games (although plimsolls may be worn if preferred)

• If your child wears tights with their uniform, short/sports/trainer socks are required for them to wear with their PE kit
