The Easter Story

This week we have been learning about when Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the Last Supper and The Resurrection. The children's Easter Gardens have been sprouting with cress and smelt beautiful. We told the story of Jesus washing his disciples' feet and re-enacted it, with all the children given the opportunity to have their feet washed by their teacher. We ended the week with an Easter Egg hunt and all the children went home with a chocolate egg. 

In maths we have been exploring more complex repeating patterns using a variety of resources. The children can continue and create quite complex patterns now, such as AABB, AAB and even ABC patterns. They have earned a lovely break over Easter and we look forward to continuing our learning journey with you all in the summer term.
