What types of shapes are the sturdiest?

For example - what type of chair should Baby Bear sit on? A yoga ball, a stool or a chair?

This week in English, we have finished our writing of a character description, using Toy Story characters as our inspiration and adding detail using expanded noun phrases and conjunctions. In Maths, the children have been able to apply their multiplication knowledge of their 2s, 5s and 10s in order to divide up into equal groups. We have explored what a habitat is and how animals have adapted to live in these different places in Science. In RE we looked at the core Humanist beliefs and drew pictures and symbols that would best represent them. In D&T we looked at the stability and sturdiness of shapes, experimenting with playdough in order to test their effectiveness. In PSHE we explored how we could protect our rights. For example we have the right to be safe, so if we don’t feel safe, what can we do? The children had lots of sensible answers, like talking to trusted adults to help them.
