What are the characteristics of a living thing?

Happy New Year to you all! We are feeling energised and ready to start our new topics, and have had an excellent first week back in school. The children have been asking us many interesting learning questions in History and Science about the history of toys, and about living things and their habitats. We have started our writing this week by exploring what makes a good character description by using Toy Story characters as our inspiration. In Maths the children have impressed us by using their knowledge of counting in 2s,5s and 10s to explore what multiplication means, how we can make different groups, and how we write a multiplication number sentence. We finished the week by getting to know what our rights are in PSHE and reviewing some of our RE knowledge.
